How Should I Store My Perfume Oils?

You've invested in a beautiful perfume oil. Now the question is: how do you keep it smelling exactly as it did the day you opened it? Proper storage is one of the most overlooked aspects of fragrance care — and it makes a significant difference to the longevity and quality of your scent.

Keep Them Away From Light

Light — particularly direct sunlight and UV rays — is the enemy of fragrance. Exposure to light breaks down the aromatic molecules in your perfume oil, causing it to degrade, discolour, and smell different over time. Store your oils in a dark place: a drawer, a cabinet, or a dedicated fragrance box. Keep Them Upright and Sealed

How Long Do Perfume Oils Last?

Stored correctly, a high-quality perfume oil can last anywhere from 3 to 5 years — and some, particularly those built on stable base notes like oud, amber, and sandalwood, can last even longer.
